Meet the 2021 Conference Chairs!

Jeff Sloan has been editor-in-chief of CompositesWorld since 2006, overseeing and managing all editorial content deployed by the brand into its print, digital and in-person channels. CompositesWorld provides its audience global coverage of emerging and established materials and technologies used in the design, tooling, fabrication and finishing of composite parts and structures.
CompositesWorld’s audience includes designers, fabricators and OEMs in the aerospace, automotive, defense, marine, energy, industrial and consumer end markets. Prior to joining CompositesWorld, Jeff worked for a decade as editor and then publisher of several trade publications serving the plastics processing industry.

Scott Stephenson has specialized in providing industry executives with strategic information and analyses pertaining to advanced materials and technologies driving development of innovative products in fiber-reinforced composites and filled polymer systems since 1997. Prior to this, Mr. Stephenson had over 15 years experience in product research and development of advanced composites and specialty coatings at Fiber Materials Inc.(FMI), a world leader in the manufacture of high-temperature and specialty composites. Here he was Manager of Fire Resistant Materials. He also directed development of ablative and low observable coatings and composites projects for various agencies of the Department of Defense and NASA. Currently, Mr. Stephenson is the director of Strategic Initiatives & Events for CompositesWorld, at Gardner Business Media. He also serves as Vice President of SAMPE North America.

Dr. Tulinda Larsen is Executive Director, Utah Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Initiative (UAMMI), a public-private partnership to elevate the advanced materials and advanced manufacturing industry in Utah. She serves as the key spokesperson for UAMMI at industry events and before government agencies. She began her career in Washington, D.C. as an economist at the US Department of Transportation, where she gained experience in the air transport industry. For more than 40 years, she has been a practicing economist studying various aspects of the aerospace industry.
Dr. Larsen is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Worldwide Campus. She holds a Doctorate of Management from University of Maryland Global Campus, BA and MA in economics from The George Washington University.
